HOW ITS COMPONENTS WORK:
- Regulates cholesterol
- Improves skin tone
- Helps joints and muscles
- Prevents cardiovascular diseases
- Improves menopausal disorders
Consists of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) in proportions that meet modern scientific criteria and are recognized as favouring the prevention of cardiovascular disease and degenerative diseases of the brain.
Saturated fatty acids (SFA), on the other hand, are fats in the diet from foods of animal origin: meat, cold cuts, dairy products and even worse, synthetic hydrogenated fatty margarines. They increase cholesterol levels and favour the onset of cardiovascular disease.
There are 3 types of unsaturated fatty acids (UFA) we are interested in: 2 are polyunsaturated (very long-chain chemical formula), OMEGA 6 and OMEGA 3, the third is monounsaturated, OMEGA 9.
The first two are called “essential” because they are not made by the body and can only be provided by the diet. They are found mainly in vegetables and oily fish.
LINSEED OIL:
They are involved in the manufacture of cell membranes and participate in brain nutrition.
OLIVE OIL:
On the one hand, it is rich in oleic acid, a precursor of Omega 9s, a monounsaturated fatty acid that is not “essential” as it can be manufactured in the body. However, olive oil harbours other surprises. It is rich in vitamins A and E, squalenes, sterols, phenolic compounds (lignans and flavonoids) and aromatic compounds with antimicrobial activity. Its role in regulating cholesterol levels seems increasingly important to scientists, as does its action in protecting against certain types of oncological diseases (colon and breast). It would seem that its multitude of qualities are the result of the combination of its various components.
Omega 7s, contained in Macadamia oil, are relatively rare essential fats. They have numerous virtues and have no side effects.
Omega 7s have the following properties:
- Keep skin healthy
- Promote liver function
- They have a positive effect in the fight against atherosclerosis by eliminating fat production and especially its accumulation;
- They regulate blood cholesterol by increasing the rate of good cholesterol and reducing LDL cholesterol;
- They reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes:
– Decreasing insulin resistance and blood sugar levels;
– Protecting the cells of the pancreas that produce insulin; - They reduce the presence of the C-reactive protein (CRP), which is an indicator of inflammation and is associated with an increased risk of CVA and heart failure.
SAFFLOWER OIL:
Safflower vegetable oil is one of the richest oils in linoleic acid (Omega 6).
This gives it cholesterol lowering benefits that protect the cardiovascular system and stimulate immune system.
However, omega 6 should not interfere with the correct proportion of omega 3.
The main benefits are hypocholesterolemia, lipid-lowering and protection of the cardiovascular system and the immune system.
EVENING PRIMROSE OIL:
Onothera biennis, that belongs to onagracee family, is native to North America.
Indians used to cultivate the Evening Primrose to use its roots for medical purposes. The active substance is still omega 6.
It also contains:
1) important amino acids such as leucine, lysine and glycine;
2) several vitamins especially vitamin C;
3) minerals such as potassium and magnesium.
Properties: protector of the cardiovascular system, reducing bad cholesterol and participating in the regulation of insulin levels.
